Clarifications on Loan Moratorium and "GSIS Arrears" of the GSIS members

CLARIFICATION ON QUERIES ON "GSIS ARREARS" REFLECTED IN THE EGSISMO LOANS DATA OF THE GSIS MEMBERS

According to GSIS Main Office, all GSIS members eligible to the GSIS "COVID-19 Loans Moratorium" for the due months March 2020 to June 2020 have been assured that these months are not considered arrearages nor shall be included from the counting of months without payment of their monthly amortizations. However, the terms of loan will be extended by four months to cover the moratorium period, without penalties.

Eligible to the moratorium are those loans not in default or those who have not granted GSIS loans as of February 29, 2020.

The GSIS further explained that the Arrears and Outstanding Balances shown in the eGSISMO will still be adjusted to reflect the loan moratorium from March to June 2020 and the extended loan term. However, this will only apply to member-borrowers whose loan accounts are eligible to the loan moratorium and have not requested for moratorium exclusion.

Ayon sa GSIS Main Office, ang lahat ng miyembro ng GSIS na "eligible" sa "GSIS COVID-19 Loans Moratorium" para sa buwan ng Marso hanggang Hunyo 2020 ay tinitiyak na ang mga buwan na ito ay ituturing na atrasado sa bayad o isasama sa pagbilang ng buwan na walang bayad sa buwanang amortisasyon. Subalit, ang haba ng buwanang pagbabayad ng utang ay ma-eextend ng apat (4) na buwan katapat ng "moratorium period" ng walang ipapataw na mula sa utang.

Ang mga "eligible" sa moratorium ay ang mga borrowers na ang utang ay hindi "in default" o hindi nagrerenew ng utang simula February 29, 2020.

Ipinaliwanag ng GSIS na ang "Arrears at Outstanding Balances" na makikita sa eGSISMO ay i-a-adjust upang maipakita ang "loan moratorium" magmula Marso hanggang Hunyo 2020 at ang "extended loan term." Subalit, ito ay iaapply lamang sa mga "member-borrowers" kung saan ang kanilang utang ay "eligible sa loan moratorium" at hindi humiling sa "moratorium exclusion."
