Lesson planning helps teachers identify and capitalize on valuable learning opportunities. Without a plan, teachers may overlook important connections between concepts, fail to provide meaningful examples or real-world applications, or miss opportunities for student engagement and active learning. This can limit the depth and breadth of learning experiences for students.
Without a plan, teachers may deliver instruction in an inconsistent manner. Each class may receive different information or experience different activities, leading to a lack of continuity and coherence in learning. Inconsistent instruction can also make it challenging for students to follow along and build upon previous knowledge.
