The Department of Education (DepEd) provides these Electronic Class Record (ECR) Templates free for use by all public school teachers. The templates allow for the computation of grades consistent with DepEd Order No. 8, s. 2015, also known as the Policy Guidelines on Classroom Assessment for the K to 12 Basic Education Program.
To ensure sustainability and to minimize technical difficulty, the designed templates were simplified using basic features used in a spreadsheet file.
Consistent computation of students' grades is crucial for several reasons. Here is one of the reasons why it is essential to ensure that grades are being calculated consistently.
Student Motivation: Consistent grading helps to motivate students to perform better academically. When students receive consistent grades, they can see their progress and are more likely to be motivated to work harder and improve their performance.
