TRANSITION PERIOD FOR THE COMPLIANCE OF THE CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) REQUIREMENT
PRC Memorandum Order No. 98, s. 2023
In the implementation of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Act of 2016 where CPD compliance is a requirement for the renewal of Professional Identification Card (PIC) and the non-acceptance of CPD Undertaking starting January 1, 2024 per PRC Resolution No. 1577 (s. 2022), there is a need to provide a transition period for the CPD compliance, as follows:

In addition, please be reminded of the following:
1. During the transition period from December 2023 to January 2024, the transaction date is the date of payment and not the date of appointment on when to claim the PIC.

2. e-PIC can only be viewed and made available if the professional complies with all the requirements for PIC renewal (e.g. Certificate of Good Standing from the Accredited Integrated Professional Organization, if required, and CPD Compliance).
3. The reckoning period for the CPD compliance shall be a maximum of six (6) years before the date of the PIC renewal transaction.
4. Mode of presentation of CPD Compliance:
Manual presentation of Certificates to verify the date/s of conduct, or
Accreditation System (CPAS) account showing his/her earned CUs.
This Order shall take effect immediately.
