Improving reading skills in young learners is imperative for several reasons, each of which plays a crucial role in their overall development and future success.
Reading enhances communication skills. As children read, they encounter new vocabulary and language structures, which they incorporate into their own speech and writing. This expansion of their linguistic repertoire enables them to communicate more clearly and effectively. Improved reading skills also teach them to be better listeners and more empathetic individuals, as they learn to understand and relate to the experiences and emotions of characters in the books they read.
